The Network
The Shell Hybrid card combines the benefits of the Shell Commercial fuel card with the ability to pay for electric charging across a growing UK electric charging network - through the Shell Recharge network and the open roaming network provided by NewMotion. As NewMotion signs new public charge point partners, Shell Hybrid card holders benefit from these also.
Fuel Pricing
With the Shell Hybrid card you pay retail price for all electric vehicle charging, plus a small transaction fee.
For fuel the Shell Hybrid card offers businesses a fixed weekly price for diesel and unleaded petrol at all non-motorway Shell sites. For all other sites including Shell motorways sites you will pay a fixed weekly price (usually between 3-5p per litre below the price displayed at the fuel station) plus 5p/litre. Prices run from Monday-Sunday and are usually supplied on a Friday afternoon.
Administration and Reporting
You will receive a detailed invoice for all fuel and electric charging expenditure broken down by transaction, type, amount, time and date of purchase. All invoices are HMRC-compliant so there is no need for your drivers to keep receipts.
Security
Each Shell Hybrid card can be embossed with either driver names or vehicle registrations, restricting use to only your drivers and/or vehicles.
The Shell Hybrid card uses RFID contactless technology to provide simple start stop electric charging access.
