The Shell CRT fuel card offers businesses a fixed weekly price for diesel and unleaded petrol. Shell’s network is split into two sections – “Core” and “Non Core”. For any diesel purchased at a “Core” sites you will pay a fixed weekly price (usually between 3-5p per litre below the national average price displayed at the fuel pump). Diesel purchased at “Non Core” sites is charged at the fixed weekly price plus 5p/litre. Prices run from Monday-Sunday and are usually supplied on a Friday afternoon.
Administration of fuel expenses is made simple; you’ll receive a detailed invoice for all fuel expenditure broken down by transaction, type, amount, time and date of fuel purchase, the cost of fuel and the VAT amount. All invoices are HMRC-compliant so there is no need to keep receipts.
